A Bulk carrier has gone aground at Sakhalin in Tatar Strait, according to FleetMon. It stated: “According to officials, the ship drifted aground after anchor dragged. No leak was reported. Still aground, no tugs seen yet, probably because of weather.”

It added: “Apr 21 170Bulk carrier KC HADONG aground at Shakhtersk, central western Sakhalin coast, Tatar Strait, since 0240 LT Apr 22 – the ship anchored at Shakhtersk anchorage on Apr 14 and, understood, either drifted aground or ran aground while maneuvering.”
