Three crew members of Taiwanese general cargo ship VIGOR SW were poisoned by hydrogen sulfide gas on April 11, 2023 at Son Duong port, Vietnam, Gulf of Tonkin, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Understood they were tasked with opening holds hatches, in preparation for cargo offloading. All three were hospitalized. One died, one is in critical condition in coma, another one is stable, nothing life-threatening.

“Character of cargo wasn’t specified. The ship arrived at Son Duong on Apr 9, from Vancouver USA.”
