Freighter’s bow damaged in contact with mole, Brunsbuettel
General cargo ship HEINZ G has reportedly collided with Mole 2 when about to enter Kiel Canal via small lock in Brunsbuettel, according to FleetMon.
It stated: “General cargo ship HEINZ G reportedly collided with Mole 2 when about to enter Kiel Canal via small lock in Brunsbuettel in the morning of April 17, 2021.
“Ship’s bow reportedly was seriously damaged. The ship passed lock and was berthed at Brunsbuettel.”
It added: “She resumed transit early in the morning Apr 18, completing transit the same day, and continued her voyage from the Netherlands to Gdynia Poland, ETA April 19, 2021.”
