Queen Elizabeth of England has passed on at the age of 96 years.

The royal family that confirmed the development stated: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

Earlier, doctors had expressed concerns over the queen’s health and advised that she be closely monitored.
