AIS positions of two MSC container ships including mega-ship, MSC ORION and MSC PHOENIX, all of sudden emerged in Mediterranean N of Port Said on August 25, 2021, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “AIS positions of two MSC container ships including mega-ship, MSC ORION and MSC PHOENIX, all of sudden emerged in Mediterranean N of Port Said on Aug 25, in apparently faulty positions.
“MSC ORION is to be found in the Gulf of Oman, en route from Iraq to Port Klang Malaysia, while MSC PHOENIX signal should be positioned in the southern part of Arabian Sea, en route from South Africa to western India.

“I hope nobody will believe in omnipresent mighty malicious hackers. Something different is taking place – misplaced AIS positions emerge more and more often, all around the globe.”
