A Fire erupted twice in a boiler on board of tanker ATLANTIC LILY, which is offloading jet fuel at Anchorage, Alaska, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “First fire started at night Nov 18, with a lot of black smoke. Fuel offloading was immediately suspended. Fire was extinguished, but early in the morning Nov 19 it reignited, to be extinguished soon.

“Ship’s engine won’t be started until completing cargo operation and preparing to leave port. Not exactly clear what caused fire, and exact spot where it started.

“Residual fuel is mentioned. No injuries, no leaks reported. As of 0500 UTC Nov 20, tanker was still berthed at Anchorage, with no tugs or fire boats nearby.”
