A Car carrier AH SHIN on February 4, 2023, was reported to be on fire in the South China Sea off the Vietnam coast, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “A Car carrier AH SHIN on February 4, 2023, was reported to be on fire in the South China Sea off Vietnam coast. Track analysis says the fire started around noon on February 3, 2023, disabling AH SHIN for several hours.

“The ship underway again since the afternoon February 4, heading towards Vung Tau. AH SHIN was en route from Incheon Korea to Singapore, but interrupted the voyage and is steaming now towards the nearest shelter, ETA Vung Tau February 5, 2023.
