A fire erupted on the cargo deck of the ferry LA SUPERBA at Palermo, on the night of January 14, 2023, presumably starting from a lorry, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “184 passengers who were already on board, were evacuated, as well as understood, part of the 80 crew.

“Many fire engines were deployed, and fire was understood to be extinguished. Ferry was still at Palermo as of morning Jan 15, she’s connecting Palermo with mainland Italy.”
