Ferry MUTIARA PERTIWI 1 struck the ferry pier ramp at Ternate port, western North Maluku, Indonesia, in the afternoon of May 10, 2023, according to FleetMon.

“Ramp with one of the towers collapsed. Nobody was injured, the ferry was taken to anchorage. Preliminary report names strong current and ferry’s high speed as main causes of the accident.”
