A container ship has run aground in Turkey, according to FleetMon.
It stated: “Confirmed it’s MAREN, she ran aground after her rudder was locked due to some kind of failure. Still aground. Tug reportedly was dispatched, under way.
“0415 UTC Apr 2: Container ship MAREN ran aground at around 2320-2330 UTC April 1, 2023, on the Turkish coast in Black sea, west of Sinop, while en route from Piraeus to Poti Georgia. Still aground as of 0415 UTC Apr 2, 2023.”
