How Iranian cargo ship grounds in the Caspian Sea

General cargo ship PAYA has run aground in the Volga – Caspian Sea Channel at around 0900 UTC August 2, 2021, according to FleetMon.

It stated:  “General cargo ship PAYA ran aground in Volga – Caspian Sea Channel at around 0900 UTC August 2, 2021, while proceeding to Astrakhan port, Russia, from Amirabad Iran.

“The ship was refloated and resumed sailing at around 1300 UTC Aug 2, understood with tugs assistance. Understood there are no or slight damages, no reports on leaks or breaches.”
