Crew members have been evacuated as fire ravaged the Iranian Navy supply tanker IRIS KHARG, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Fire erupted on board of Iranian Navy supply tanker IRIS KHARG, understood at night Jun 1, at Jask Port, Iran, Gulf of Oman.

“Not much known at the moment, except that the crew were evacuated, and fire fighting, probably, still continues.”

It added: “Iranian Navy supply tanker IRIS KHARG, IMO 7500633, displacement 33544 tons, built 1977, complement 248, armament guns, 3 helicopters.”
