COVID-19: Confirmed cases rise to 165,370 in Nigeria

The confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic have risen to 256,352, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

It stated: “From 9th to 10th June 2022, 88 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 256352 cases have been confirmed, 250131 cases have been discharged and 3,144 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 88 new cases are reported from 6 States- Lagos (79), FCT (4), Kano (2), Nasarawa (1), Oyo (1) and Plateau (1) A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”

Previously, it had stated: “On the 29th of December 2021, 1,355 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 240374 cases have been confirmed, 213491 cases have been discharged and 3028 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
