The confirmed Coronavirus pandemic cases have risen to 189,175 in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

It stated: “The 637 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos (322), Rivers (70), Edo (54), Delta (34), Akwa Ibom (31), Kwara (31), FCT (29), Ekiti (17), Ogun (14), Osun (10), Kebbi (8), Cross River (5), Plateau (3), Taraba (3), Kaduna (2), Bayelsa (2), Benue (1), Enugu (1), and Kano (1).

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.

“On the 26th of August 2021, 835 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 189175 cases have been confirmed, 169626 cases have been discharged and 2298 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
