The confirmed cases of coronavirus pandemic have risen to 193,013 cases in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

It stated: “On the 1st of September 2021, 582 new confirmed cases and 11 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

“Till date, 193013 cases have been confirmed, 179000 cases have been discharged and 2480 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 582 new cases are reported from 16 states- Lagos (175), Rivers (124), Edo (60), Delta (57), Akwa Ibom (44), Anambra (25), Bayelsa (22), Gombe (19), Ekiti (12), FCT (12), Kaduna (11), Kano (6), Benue (5), Plateau (5), Ogun (3), and Jigawa (2).”

It also added: “A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, and continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
