COVID-19: Confirmed cases now 173,411 in Nigeria

The Coronavirus pandemic confirmed cases have risen to 173,411 in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

It stated: “On the 30th of July 2021, 590 new confirmed cases and 8 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

“Till date, 173411 cases have been confirmed, 164978 cases have been discharged and 2149 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

“The 590 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos (308), Akwa Ibom (54), Katsina (40), Oyo (39), Rivers (26), Niger (23), Gombe (19), Ogun (16), Ekiti (15), FCT (10), Nasarawa (10), Delta (9), Bayelsa (5), Plateau (5), Imo (4), Ebonyi (3), Jigawa (3), and Kano (1).”

It added: “A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
