COVID-19: Confirmed cases rise to 165,370 in Nigeria

The confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic have risen to 203,514 in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

It stated: “On the 23rd of September 2021, 433 new confirmed cases and 2 death were recorded in Nigeria.

“Till date, 203514 cases have been confirmed, 191942 cases have been discharged and 2668 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 433 new cases are reported from 17 states- FCT (191), Lagos (79), Anambra (63), Rivers (27), Plateau (13), Oyo (10), Delta (9), Ondo (8), Edo (7), Gombe (6), Akwa Ibom (5), Borno (5), Ekiti (4), Bayelsa (2), Zamfara (2), Enugu (1), and Kano (1).”

It added: “A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, and continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
