COLLABORATION: NNPC GMD visits DPR

The Director/CEO, DPR Engr. Sarki Auwalu, Thursday, received the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari on a working visit.

The visit was to explore areas of collaboration and cooperation between both agencies of government for the greater good of the Nigerian economy through the increase of national oil reserves, expansion of proven gas reserves and cost optimization for energy security.

He commended the GMD for rewriting the history of NNPC with the declaration of corporate profit for the first time in 44years amongst other sterling achievements since he took over the mantle of leadership of the corporation.

Engr. Sarki emphasized that the able leadership of the GMD has placed NNPC on the global Oil and Gas landscape with its membership of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).

He reiterated that DPR and NNPC have a common mandate of wealth creation for all Nigerians which is enabled through DPR service instruments of license, permit, and approval that fosters more volume production by NNPC for increased royalty.

The GMD NNPC in his remarks expressed his appreciation to the Director/CEO DPR for his continued support and collaboration with the corporation which has brought tremendous benefits to the Nigerian economy.

He stated that NNPC and DPR will continue to provide the needed steer for the oil and gas industry to ensure the realisation of the aspirations of government for the sector.
