The former senator representing Akwa Ibom North East, Bassey Akpan, has dumped the Young People’s Party (YPP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Bassey was the candidate of the Young People’s Party (YPP) in Akwa Ibom State in the governorship election.
