Refiners, Producers, Investors to Converge at Nigeria Oil Refining Summit

The third edition of the Nigeria Oil Refining Summit will hold from September 28–29, 2026, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

The event, hosted by the Crude Oil Refinery Owners Association of Nigeria (CORAN), is themed “Refining for Value: Linking Upstream Supply to Downstream Demand.”

According to CORAN, the summit will bring together upstream producers, refiners, marketers, traders, maritime and logistics companies, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, investors, regulators and energy service companies.

The event is sponsored by Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Titanium Oil Corporation, Zenith Insurance, Waltersmith, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Africa Finance Corporation, HIS Energies, Aradel, OPAC Refineries, Clairgold, Ebenco, Green Energy Axingstock and Vento.

CORAN is a non-profit association incorporated to promote the development of the refining business in Nigeria. The association works closely with relevant government agencies, including NMDPRA, NNPC Limited, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Federal Ministry of Environment and the Federal Ministry of Finance, among others.

CORAN collaborates with these institutions and other stakeholders to develop sustainable and scalable solutions, promote investment-friendly legal and regulatory policies, and strengthen Nigeria’s refining capacity through private-sector investment.

The association serves as the voice of refineries operating in Nigeria and works collectively with its members to highlight key industry issues, challenges and constraints, while drawing attention to existing gaps requiring government intervention.

CORAN said it believes that “with a sound collaborative commercial experience and a pragmatic approach in the crude oil refining business, we provide our members with leading-edge strategies when entering or operating a refinery in Nigeria.”
