Long-term investment in the Power Sector will transform Africa

The Chairman, Heirs Holdings Chairman, Tony O. Elumelu, has stressed the importance of power in driving innovation and economic growth across Africa.

Speaking on Arise News’ The Morning Show, weekend, he said shared Heirs Holdings’ ambition to improve lives and transform the continent by investing in the most strategic sectors of Africa such as energy, healthcare, finance, real estate and hospitality.

“When we started, the ambition was to help to improve lives & transform our continent, and the way to do this is by investing in critical sectors of the economy such as power. Access to electricity, we believe is very critical to the economic empowerment of our people.”

“We decided to have an integrated energy play. For us, it is to make sure that the ecosystem is complete, and we can power our country out of poverty into economic prosperity.”
