Top 500 firms, leaders, others to meet at African Energy Week 2023

PREAMBLE

Again, the African Energy Week (AEW), the African Energy Chamber’s annual event that brings African energy leaders, global investors and executives together for five days will be held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The AEW, an interactive conference, exhibition and networking event that started in 2021 is targeted at achieving many objectives, especially making energy poverty history by 2030. It will host panel discussions, investor forums, industry summits and one-on-one meeting opportunities, and drive the discussions that will reshape the trajectory of Africa’s energy revolution.

According to the organisers, “In 2023, the event returns bigger and better than ever before, serving as the official meeting place for Africa’s energy elite. At the forefront of the African energy industry, AEW promotes the role Africa plays in global energy matters, centered on African-led dialogue and decision-making. Covering the entire energy sector and value chain, AEW represents the only conference on the continent representative of the entire sector.”

It added: “AEW takes place across multiple venues at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town – a new form of event structure utilizing a hub of venues designed to host over 5,000 delegates. Attendees are granted the opportunity to design their own program, choosing sessions they wish to participate in while engaging in a variety of networking functions. At its core, the conference aims to make energy poverty history by 2030, with the innovative event structure expanding opportunities for dialogue, engagement and deal signings.”
