Top 10 Depots with Highest Petrol Prices as PMS Rises to ₦1,217/Litre

Petrol prices at Nigerian depots remained elevated on Friday, with the highest Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) price recorded at ₦1,217 per litre, according to the mid-day depot price report for August 28, 2026.
The data showed that Matrix Depot in Lagos posted the highest PMS price among the listed depots at ₦1,217/litre, followed by Matrix in Warri at the same price.
The figures indicate that depot prices continue to vary across locations, reflecting differences in supply, logistics and market conditions.

The report showed that Matrix in Lagos increased its PMS price from ₦1,220 to ₦1,217/litre, representing a ₦3/litre reduction from its previous price.
Matrix in Warri also reduced its price by ₦3/litre, from ₦1,220 to ₦1,217/litre.
In Lagos, Liquid Bulk and T.S.L maintained their PMS prices at ₦1,215/litre, while Masters reduced its price by ₦5 from ₦1,215 to ₦1,210/litre.
Calabar recorded relatively high but stable PMS prices, with Jenny, Mainland, Sobaz and Soroman all selling at ₦1,205/litre.
In Warri, A.Y.M Shafa recorded ₦1,200/litre, while Matrix, Keonamex, Nepal and Prudent were all at ₦1,215 or higher.
The data also showed significant variations in Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), popularly known as diesel, particularly in Port Harcourt and Warri.
In Port Harcourt, Bulk Strategic recorded the highest AGO price at ₦1,700/litre, although this represented a ₦6/litre reduction from ₦1,706/litre.
Dangote and Nipco maintained AGO prices at ₦1,670/litre, while Aiteo increased its price from ₦1,665 to ₦1,667/litre.
Pinnacle also raised its AGO price by ₦9/litre, from ₦1,661 to ₦1,670/litre.
In Warri, A.Y.M Shafa and Matrix recorded AGO prices of ₦1,700/litre, while Prudent’s price fell from ₦1,690 to ₦1,671/litre.
Rain Oil also reduced its AGO price from ₦1,680 to ₦1,670/litre, while Zamson cut its price from ₦1,685 to ₦1,670/litre.
The latest figures indicate that while some depot operators reduced their prices, petrol remained above ₦1,200/litre at most of the highest-priced depots surveyed, keeping the downstream petroleum market under pressure.
The relatively narrow spread among the leading PMS depots also suggests that wholesale petrol prices remain closely clustered around the ₦1,200-₦1,217/litre range in the locations covered by the report.
For marketers, movements in depot prices remain critical as they determine the cost at which products are purchased before transportation, operating expenses and retail margins are added.
Consequently, sustained high depot prices could continue to influence pump prices across different parts of the country, depending on logistics costs, competition and local market conditions.
