Tanker crew 12 positives, 4 in hospital with 2 in ICU, France

Tanker FMT BERGAMA arrived at Port-la-Nouvelle from Terneuzen, Netherlands, in the evening of May 6, 2021, was berthed on May 8, 2021, according to FleetMon.

It stated; “Prior to arrival, Master reported covid-like symptoms among the crew. They’ve been tested while the ship was at anchor, 12 were found to test positive, 4 had to be taken to hospital, 2 of them put in ICU.”

It added: “Same unanswered question – were the crew members vaccinated before the voyage?”
