SBM Offshore Repurchases 140,016 Shares in One Week as €227m Buyback Programme Nears Halfway Mark

SBM Offshore has repurchased 140,016 of its shares for approximately €4.48 million during the five trading days between July 30 and August 5, 2026, as the global offshore energy infrastructure company continues the execution of its €227 million share repurchase programme.
The company disclosed on Wednesday that the latest purchases were made under the buyback programme launched on February 27, 2026, with the objective of reducing its share capital while also providing shares for regular management and employee share schemes.
According to the company, a total of 2,968,735 shares have now been repurchased at an average price of €33.50 per share, representing a cumulative investment of €99.45 million.
The latest figures indicate that 43.88 per cent of the overall €227 million programme has been completed as of August 5, 2026.
During the reporting period, SBM Offshore acquired shares on Euronext Amsterdam, CBOE DXE, Turquoise Europe and Aquis Europe at an average purchase price of €32.00 per share.
The company bought 27,970 shares on July 30 at an average price of €32.03, followed by 27,720 shares on July 31 at €32.32. It repurchased 28,127 shares on August 3 at €31.85, 27,988 shares on August 4 at €32.01, and 28,211 shares on August 5 at €31.76.
Each day’s purchases amounted to approximately €896,000, bringing the total expenditure for the week to €4.48 million.
