Ramadan fast begins Tuesday as Sultan sights moon

The Ramadan fast has started in Nigeria as Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, confirms the sighting of the moon.
In his broadcast, Monday, Abubakar, who urged the Moslems to start fasting, Tuesday, said: “Reliable reports of moon sighting were received from Muslim leaders and organizations across the country, which they duly verified and authenticated before sending to us,” he said.
“Consequently, tomorrow, Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 2021, becomes the first day of Ramadan.”
The fast has started in other countries, including Saudi Arabia, which had also announced the sighting of the moon.
