There was panic as the price of Brent, the global oil benchmark, dropped by over five percent to $72.39 per barrel, the first time since December 2021.
The price collapse which also affected other crudes started after the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported an inventory build of 1.6 million barrels for the week to March 10, 2023.
