The resurgence of Coronivarus pandemic in China has worsened instability in the global oil market.

The pandemic threat was fuelled by speculation mostly because of the central place of China as a major crude buyer, expected to utilise more oil in its post-pandemic development.

Already, some parts of China have experienced complete lockdown and the government has also shut down public transport as it continues to battle the pandemic.
