UPDATED: Office of the Vice President takes LPG sensitization programme to Ebonyi State

The National LPG Expansion Plan, Office of the Vice President, Federal Government of Nigeria, has concluded plans to hold an important sensitization programme, targeted at enhancing livelihood in the State.
The event is part of the Office of the Vice President, which has Mr. Dayo Adeshina as Programme Manager and Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on LPG, to inform, educate and encourage massive investment and utilization of LPG, which is also known as cooking gas, in the spirit of Energy transition.
The event, which has ‘Scaling Up Economic Activities and Improving Livelihood in Ebonyi State Through LPG Utilisation’ as its theme will hold at the New Executive Council Chamber, Ochudo Century City, Abakaliki, from August 24-25, 2022, at 10am daily.
The Daily, www.thedaily-ng.com, gathered that the important event will feature, Mr. Alberto Castagnini, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Landi Renzo Group, Italy, Mr. Felix Ekundayo, Deputy President, Nigeria LPG Association and Managing Director, Gas Terminaling, Joy Shaiyen, Coordinator, WINLPG, Nigeria, Mr. Bassey Essien, Executive Secretary, Nigerian Association of Liquified Petroleum Gas Marketers, NALPGAM and Mrs. Rebecca Ayoola, Chief Operating Officer, Altarra Limited as speakers.
Recently, Mr. Adeshina, had said, “We had since begun the programme in some of the 12 pilot states.”
Adeshina had said the 12 pilot states were Bauchi, Lagos, Ebonyi, Gombe, Katsina, Sokoto, Enugu, Bayelsa, Delta, FCT – Abuja, Ogun and Niger states.
He had also disclosed that the 36 states in Nigeria would be covered within three years at the rate of 12 states per year, noting that government will engage investors and marketers for effective implementation.
