NIGER: Pains as Nigeria disconnects supply of 150MW daily

There is serious hardship as Nigeria disconnects the supply of 150 megawatts, MW of electricity as part of measures targeted at restoring democracy in Niger, currently under military dictatorship.
The electricity, which Nigeriens and other nationals depend on to power their economic and other activities was disconnected on Tuesday night by the Transition Company of Nigeria, TCN.
The federal government that confirmed the disconnection said it is part of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS measures to tackle dictatorship in Niger.
