A Ro-ro cargo ship PELAGITIS and bulk carrier PARADISE ISLAND collided in Kafirea Strait, Aegean Sea, Greece, at around 2100 UTC September 21, 2022, according to fleetMon.

It stated: “Ro-ro cargo ship PELAGITIS and bulk carrier PARADISE ISLAND collided in Kafirea Strait, Aegean Sea, Greece, at around 2100 UTC September 21, 2022, with both ships sailing roughly in one NE direction.

“Reportedly both ships sustained minor damages but nevertheless, both were ordered to anchor at Karystos bay. As of 0500 UTC Sep 22, both ships remained anchored. PELAGISIS with 24 vehicles on board is en route to Chios, PARADISE ISLAND is en route from Spain to Aliaga Turkey.”
