The engine room of General cargo ship SAINT PROVIDENCE has been flooded reported flooded in the Caribbean, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “General cargo ship SAINT PROVIDENCE reported flooded engine room on August 7, 2021, in the Caribbean some 130 nm NW of Barranquilla, Colombia, while en route from Barranquilla to San Andreas.
“Understood the crew either left, or leaving the ship, with container ship LUNA MAAERSK nearby, either picking crew up or on a standby.”

It also added: “As of 0400 UTC August 8, 2021, the ship’s AIS was still on. No other information available at the moment.”
