MARITIME ACCIDENT: Dredger catches fire in Iraq
Fire has erupted in the superstructure of Iraqi State-owned hopper dredger UM QASR, located at Umm Qasr port in Iraq, according to FleetMon.
It stated: “Fire erupted in the superstructure of Iraqi State-owned hopper dredger UM QASR, located at Umm Qasr port, Iraq, on Sep 4.
“Fire broke out reportedly in one of the cabins, namely in CE cabin. Fire said to be quickly extinguished by firefighters, no injures reported, damages believed to be minimal.”
