MARITIME ACCIDENT: Australian coastal freighter grounding

Coastal freighter TRINITY BAY ran aground on Harrington Shoal while transiting Great Barrier Reef in the morning Jan 19, 2021, was refloated in some 2 hours, and continued her voyage to Cairns, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “No damages were found, because the ship grounded on a sandy bottom. She left Cairns on Jan 23, continuing her coastal service.”
