Russian Ministry of Defence issued a statement saying that Russia suspends all traffic in the grain corridor until Russia gets a guarantee that Ukraine won’t use the traffic and ships deployed, in “military activities”, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Moscow added, that Russia can’t guarantee ships safety. !3 ships meanwhile, are transiting corridor in the Black sea, as of 1700 UTC Oct 31. So Moscow made its’ move, trying to force Turkey and the UN into corridor suspension or a full stop.

“Final decision is after Turkey and probably, countries which will back Turkey in this grain confrontation. There’s only one way Russia might stop the traffic – a military one.”
