How Bulk carrier contacted bridge entering Lisbon

Bulk carrier IONIC HAWK contacted pillar of 25 de Abril Bridge in the afternoon Mar 31 while entering Lisbon Portugal, on arrival from Morocco, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “According to track, the ship passed the bridge but was ordered to return and anchored below the bridge in Tagus river.”

It added: “Understood both bulk carrier and bridge’s pillar sustained slight damages. As of evening Apr 1, IONIC HAWK was still at anchor in the same position.”
