How armed robbers stormed robbed oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico

Eight armed robbers have attacked a Mexican oil platform SANDUNGA at the Bay of Campeche, Gulf of Mexico, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “8 armed robbers managed to climb on board of Mexican oil platform SANDUNGA at night Jul 19, at the Bay of Campeche, Gulf of Mexico.

“They fired shots in the air, personnel hid in any shelters they could find, while robbers ransacked platform, taking with them mostly, professional equipment, like diving equipment, comms devices, breathing apparatuses, etc. Law enforcement teams arrived at the platform early in the morning of Jul 20, long after robbers fled.”
