Fuel Price War: Top Depots Cut Petrol to N1,330/Litre

Petrol prices across major Nigerian depots remained within a narrow range on Friday, September 18, 2026, with the lowest prices recorded at N1,330 per litre, according to the Daily Depot Price Intelligence Report.
Four depots — Alkanes, Fynefield, Northwest and Sobaz — sold Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at N1,330 per litre.
They were followed by Stockgap and T.S.L at N1,332, Masters at N1,333, while Matrix, Liquid Bulk and Sigmund sold at N1,335 per litre.

The report showed that regional PMS prices averaged N1,332 per litre in Calabar, N1,334 in Port Harcourt, N1,335 in Warri and N1,351 in Lagos.
At the upper end, PMS prices reached about N1,352 per litre, putting the spread between the lowest and highest reported prices at about N22 per litre.
The depot market was monitored against a backdrop of elevated international crude prices. Brent rose 0.34 per cent to $103.20 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) declined 0.21 per cent to $99.86. Brass River crude fell 2.56 per cent to $113.73.
AGO prices remained considerably higher, averaging about N1,840 per litre in Lagos, N1,895 in Port Harcourt and N2,029 in Calabar, with prices reaching about N2,100 in some locations.
The report also showed continued pressure from the foreign exchange market, with the dollar trading at N1,390, the pound at N1,875 and the euro at N1,585 on the reported black market.
The latest figures indicate that petrol prices have remained relatively stable across the major depot locations, although regional differences persist.
