Fishing vessel sinks after collision with the bulk carrier, 17 fishermen missing at Java sea
A fishing vessel has sunk after a collision with the bulk carrier, leaving 17 fishermen missing at Java sea, according to FleetMon.
It stated: “Fishing vessel sank after collision with the bulk carrier, 17 fishermen missing, Java sea Bulk carrier HABCO PIONEER collided with local fishing vessel BAROKAH JAYA at around 1645 WIT (UTC +7) April 3, 2021, in the northeast of Jakarta, in Indramayu Regencywaters, West Java, Java sea.”
It added; “Fishing vessel sank, of 32 crew on board 15 have been rescued, 17 fishermen remain missing, SAR underway. HABCO PIONEER reported the accident to Cirebon Vessel Traffic Centre and remained in accident area, taking part in SAR. 15 rescued fishermen were probably, picked up by HABCO PIONEER.”
