A mystery explosion has attacked the HQ of Russian Black Sea Navy in Sevastopol Navy Base, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “HQ of Russian Black Sea Navy in Sevastopol Navy Base was hit again, at around 0815 Moscow time August 20, 2022. Command Center building sustained serious damages, there was fire, roof and constructions destroyed or damaged.

“Allegedly, HQ was hit by UAV, according to official Russian statements, issued by Crimean “authorities” and other officials. There were other explosions and fires in different towns and sites throughout Crimea. Crimean population is asked to remain calm (in Sevastopol residents were asked to stay indoors for at least an hour), “situation is under control”, repeatedly say authorities. What were the ammunitions which hit numerous objects in annexed Crimea, is a mystery.

“Were they shells, missiles, UAVs, explosives placed by special force teams or partisans? Russian tourists and understood, quite a number of residents, flee Crimea in growing numbers, fearing Kerch Strait Bridge could be destroyed.

“Some 2-3 days ago, Putin or Defence Minister Shoigu claimed once again invincible and impregnable Russian Air Defence arms and systems, with many countries in the world lining up to buy them. Sure, no doubt.”
