ECOWAS delegation meet ousted President Mohamed Bazoum of Niger

General Abdulsalami Abubakar, former head of state, Nigeria has arrived for a discussion with the military junta on the restoration of democracy in Niger.

Abdulsalami, the leader of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) delegation arrived in Niamey, the capital of Niger as part of efforts to restore constitutional order in the nation.

Checks by The Daily, www.thedaily-ng.com, confirmed that the delegation met with the military officers as well as the ousted President Mohamed Bazoum on Saturday.
