Ebonyi State LPG Awareness and Sensitization Campaign begins soon

The National Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Expansion Plan in collaboration with Ebonyi State Government is set to start its Awareness and Sensitization Campaign, targeted at enhancing the Energy transition through massive investment, production, and utilization of LPG in Nigeria.
Checks by The Daily, www.thedaily-ng.com, indicated that all stakeholders, including officials from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s office, speakers and attendees, have already arrived in Ebonyi state.
However, the Secretariat involved in organizing the event, stated: “The National Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Expansion Plan in collaboration with Ebonyi State Government is driving a long-term Low Carbon Emissions Development Strategy through the adoption of LPG using an integrated sectoral approach at the subnational levels.
“The development pathway is underpinned by the utilization of LPG for power, agro-industrial activities, transport and household (clean cooking) within the rural, urban and peri-urban areas of the State. As part of the implementation plan approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and in the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP), the Programme Management Office of the National LPG Expansion Implementation Plan decided to host the State Awareness and Sensitization Campaign with the theme, ‘Scaling Up Economic Activities and Improving Livelihoods in Ebonyi State Through LPG Utilization’ for Ebonyi State as one of the 12 pilot states.”
It maintained that, “In the light of this, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the above program scheduled for 24th and 25th August, 2022 at New State Executive Council Chamber, New Government House, Centenary City, Abakaliki (Hybrid Event), with side-interactive discussions/ exhibition of LPG products and services.
“The target audience for the first day will be the State Actors covering State Government Excos, Directors of State Ministries, Departments and Agencies while the second day will comprise of Non-State Actors such as the Organized Private Sectors (OPS) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (foreign & local), Faith Based Organizations and the General Public.
