Cocaine bust on Capesize bulk carrier – unusual route, small quantity

A multi-agency team of investigators boarded Capesize bulk carrier SAM JOHN SOLIDARITY a, on March 31, 2021, on ship’s arrival from Rotterdam, being bound for Baltimore, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “ 20 bricks of cocaine weighing in total, some 20 kg, were found in understood, chain locker.

“No arrests have been made according to some news, arrests have been made according to other news sources. As of 0330 UTC Apr 2, the ship remained anchored off Annapolis.”

It added: “Unusual route for drug trafficking and an unusually small quantity of busted cocaine. Who knows, what’s all about.”
