COVID-19: Confirmed cases rise to 165,370 in Nigeria

The confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic have risen to 165,370 in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
It stated: “On the 8th of May 2021, 30 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 165370 cases have been confirmed, 156250 cases have been discharged and 2065 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“The 30 new cases are reported from 3 states- Lagos (21), Adamawa (8), and Rivers (1). A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
