COVID-19: Confirmed cases rise to 164,303 in Nigeria

The confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic has risen to 164,303, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

It stated: “On the 19th of April 2021, 70 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria. To date, 164303 cases have been confirmed, 154384 cases have been discharged and 2061 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”

It added: “The 70 new cases are reported from 5 states- Lagos (27), Kaduna (16), Ondo (16), Yobe (6), and Bauchi (5). Multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
