How Coastal freighter sank after collision in Manila Bay

Utility vessel BKM 104 collided with a small coastal freighter PALAWAN PEARL early in the morning July 8, 2021, in Manila Bay, South Harbor Anchorage area, Philippines.

According to FleetMon, “Freighter hull was breached, she sank, resting on bottom portside, being partially above waterline.

“Crew understood to be safe, no leak so far reported. PALAWAN PEARL is having on board some 3 tons of bunker, no big deal.”
