By Our Correspondent      Bulk carrier IRVINE BAY ran aground in Napoli Port area while approaching berth, on arrival from Santana Brazil with cargo of grain, at around 1200 UTC August 4, 2022, according to FleetMon.

It stated: “Bulk carrier IRVINE BAY ran aground in Napoli Port area while approaching berth, on arrival from Santana Brazil with cargo of grain, at around 1200 UTC August 4, 2022.

“She was refloated with high tide at around 0230 UTC August 5, 2022 with tugs assistance, and berthed. No damages, no leak reported, the ship reportedly rested on a sandy bottom.”
