BREAKING: FG, Bayelsa Govt, Aiteo, NOSDRA, others visit OML 29 to unravel causes, the impact of Nembe oil spill

THE Federal Government and other institutions have embarked on a Joint Investigation Visit, JIV, to Oil Mining Lease, OML 29, as part of measures targeted at unraveling establishing the causes and impact of the Nembe oil spill, which occurred on November 5, 2021.

Taking part in the ongoing JIV are the major stakeholders, including the Ministry of Environment, Bayelsa State Government, National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, NOSDRA, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, Aiteo Group, and the host community.
