Nigeria, a leading African nation has recordedc232 new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

In its latest report obtained by The Daily, www.thedaily-ng.com, the NCDC, stated: “From 23rd to 24th August 2022, 232 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.

“To date, 263322 cases have been confirmed, 257253 cases have been discharged and 3,148 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 232 new cases are reported from 9 States- Lagos (117), Niger (31), Rivers (28), FCT (26), Kano (11), Kaduna (10), Plateau (4), Abia (3), Delta (2).”

It added: “A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
