OIL: Nigeria’s output rises 6.9% to 1.43m bpd —OPEC

By Eyo Nsima

Nigeria’s oil output has risen to 1.43 million barrels per day, bpd in January 2024, from 1.34 million bpd recorded in December 2023, showing an increase of 6.9 per cent.
According to the January 2024 Monthly Oil Market Report, MOMR of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, obtained by The Daily, http://www.thedaily-ng.com,  the output excludes condensate, which Nigeria can produce between 300,000 bpd and 400,000 bpd.

OPEC did not disclosed reasons for the increase in output but checks by The Daily pointed to the nation’s successful battle against oil theft.
